My wow moment came around the middle of the semester when I realized that there is just such an infinite plethora of technology tools that you can use in your classroom! There is so much that you, as an educator, can do to make your classroom more enjoyable and engaged for the student. I also realized that you don’t have to be a computer whiz when it comes to using this technology, a lot of it has already been dumbed down enough to make it easy for anyone to use.
I have evolved from this “impossible to budge”, stubborn, anti-technology educator into this open book of knowledge and possibility when it comes to incorporating technology into my lessons for my students. I still don’t fully agree with the 1:1 iPad or computer idea, but I’m open to the possibility. After seeing the product of the students getting excited from my Animoto anticipatory set in the actual field, I am actually really excited to start incorporating more and more technology into my lessons!
